Eccleston Delph has been known as the Eccy Delph, or Hurst House Delph for the last century, and was mined by 12 local Quarrymen producing stone for Blackpool Promenade and for thin slates to cover the local barns and roofs.

A kidney shaped quarry laying on a west / east axis. Deep area to max approx 20m with shallower areas to the east side of the quarry.

Plenty of underwater attractions in the deep area and good system of ropes between these. Also good selection of attractions in the shallower areas for trainees to checkout and all attractions that have OHE dangers are blocked off.
Entry: Walk in access, down slipway or step entry, other sets of steps and a beach area on far side with another step entry.
